Born in Varna (Bulgaria), into a family of musicians – so at the age of 5, her parents both orchestra musicians, started teaching Alexandrina how to play the violin. After a classical singing education she focused on her jazz singing studies with Harriet Lewis, Karen Edwards and Sandy Patton and took part in the jazz choir of the Munich “Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium”. Quite soon she started singing in various jazz ensembles in Augsburg and Munich and with her own quintet (the Alexandrina Simeon Quintett”), she is a welcome guest to international jazz festivals in Germany, Austria and Bulgaria. But she is not only familiar with jazz – her repertoire also covers classical music, soul, pop, gospel as well as numerous CD productions and various projects with Njamy Sitson, Wolfgang Lackerschmid, Gerd Dudek, Ryan Carniaux, Andrej Bielow and Rhani Krija. Live performances for BR or ZDF (German television) proved that quite impressively. As a solo artist she performed Duke Ellington’s “Sacred Concert” and Steve Reich’s “music for 18 musicians”. Her first solo record with the “Alexandrina Simeon Quintett”, starring her own compositions and lyrics, called “roots & influence”, was released in April 2011 by MONS records, whereas her newest record “Ocean Tales” will be available on the 16.-th of March 2018 by UNIT RECORDS – this time with guest artist Benny Brown (trumpet, flugelhorn).

In addition to the concert activities, the charismatic singer is a constant jury judge at the yearly pop singing contest “DISCOVERY” in Varna (Bulgaria), gives vocal workshops and is a lecturer for singing at the charir in musical education and didactic at the catholic university of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and at the university of Augsburg. “Her voice can act powerfull, lose itself in woefulness or cheer sky-high…” (Jazzthing)
